Mad about nametapes

...nametapes.

And I have hundreds of random words and phrases that I have used over the years.

I put them on t'shirts and on vintage camisoles and I'm dying to put them in one of my books. I have such a thing about fonts and words and cut-up poetry.

Thank you for all your lovely comments on the previous post. I will probably make a print, I'll let you know.

  1. These are great! How do you make them? I know they can be ordered, but wouldn't you then end up with hundreds of the same...? They also remind me of David Bowie - apparently he cut out random words from papers and put them together to make song lyrics. Great minds, etc...

  2. i did order them, the smallest amount you can get is 36 of each tape but i was using them to make t'shirts so most of them got used.

  5. i love these...i use this type of label for my things too. i like the way you have all your different words on them all...i always liked the way you have used them on your vintage camisoles...using these tapes always reminds me of my name labels as a kid, sewn into my school uniform...

what a long old ramble that was, i think your labels would look lovely in your books :)

  6. I'm a keen fan of name tapes, too, though not, it would seem, as much as you.
