A couple of weeks ago I spotted two lovely posts about grandparents. Nath posted some pictures of her beautiful grandmother Geraldine, and there was a gorgeous post about Grampy Charles over at Lobster & Swan, which I really related to. So here's one of my favourite pictures of my grandmother with my mum on a trip to Italy. Late 50s I think by the looks of it. I love how my mum looks like something out of Roman Holiday.

  1. oh i looooove this pic

  2. Thought I should pop over and say hello. Very kind of Mandy to spread the love for me! Just off now to have a little nose at your etsy shop x

  3. I remember watching this film when I was a little girl and I love it just as much now. Thanks for all the lovely comments today, always so lovely to get any feedback. I found you through Amy's blog, so glad I looked.

  4. Hi - just wanted to drop in and say how much I like your stuff (I'm a fellow Folksian) and say thanks for reminding me about Roman Holiday... God I love that film...I am not sure why I don't own it on DVD actually - a major oversight!
I'm new to this blogging malarkey, so just starting to get the hang of things. Trying to juggle the whole "bringing up kids/making and selling stuff" thing is quite a task, so I'm in awe of anyone who is making such a success of it!

  5. I just love looking at old photos, and this one is a peach... Got any more?

Also thanks for your flickrmail - plenty to ruminate on.. I'll keep you posted!

I love getting comments, unless they are mean. Thank you!
