My lucky ebay day

This is Checkmate, part of a coffee set from the Empire Porcelain Company. I was very lucky, I saw it in an online shop, it was sold out so I legged it to ebay and snapped one up in a few hours for a pittance. I love everything about it.

We had this Snap as children, I think my sister has the original (grrrrr!) so I just randomly searched ebay for 'vintage snap' and lo and behold there it was. That's my ebaying done for a while.

p.s. Oh yes, I met the lovely Kerry from The Seventy Tree on Saturday! So nice to meet blog friends, there aren't many about in London. And I have already had many compliments on the badges I bought from her stall.

  5. I keep seeing coffee pots at boot fairs that look really splendid but I never know what to do with them. I've got no shelf space. And I haven't got a vintage shop. This looks so great. I'm thinking I have made a glorious mistake in not purchasing them all...they would look nice with flowers in. hmmmm rethink.

  8. I missed buying a coffee pot the other day which would have matched with my Gran's set of cups. I thought it was the wrong colour, then got home and realised it was exactly right! Have to have a look on Ebay too! That one's a corker, great find.
