Kitchen truths

I had such lovely comments over on seventytree about our house, especially the kitchen, but to be honest, this is more like it after Gus has been in there for 5 minutes.

And that's the usual look on my face.

  4. At least you have a broom in your hand and are making some sort of effort - I have a kitchen sofa for such angsty moments - with handy blankets and cushions to hide myself under!

  6. ’Tis the same over here at Chateau Layton. Don’t know why I bother organising the kitchen cupboards, and especially folding tea-towels into a drawer. Have a nice weekend x

  7. my favourite book! Yes we quite regularly have a tiger at tea time.. but he ends up smearing ketchup all up our walls, and saying he hates carrots! Ah well. Have lovely weekend. Lou x

  8. Have I told you my theory about that book? That there is no "tiger". Just mummy's fondness for a G&T and a jolly good excuse for a messy house and no dinner....

I'm such an old cynic, but it makes me enjoy the book even more reading it with that subtext. It's the dad's slightly weary faraway look at the cafe that gives it all away - not the first time it's happened clearly... ;)

  11. Thanks for saying nice things about my paper cuts over at Lou's Littlegreenshed.
I've been reading for a while and I'm loving the blog. I started off as a fine art printmaker and I really like your prints. I'm moving house soon so I'll be visiting your shop, I'm sure.
