Postcards from the Paralympics

Some pictures from the Paralympics on Friday - the stadium and the aquatics centre. The size and the atmosphere were awe-inspiring.

We saw some amazing javelin, world records being broken with practically every throw. We saw running and racing, blind long-jump (so fascinating), and discus. We also did a few Mexican waves, spent £2.80 on a tiny bottle of apple juice and tried to walk to the Velodrome on one of the hottest days of the year, (not realising it was about half an hour from the stadium) before turning back!

A great experience.

  3. Wonderful! I bet the atmosphere was electric. I managed to get a ticket to the Olympics but missed out on a ticket to the Paralympics. The happy atmosphere was amazing.
