Misplaced mojo

Hello.

There comes a time in everyone's blogging life when the mojo goes a-wandering. For me it is right now and the reason is time. I used to blog when Gus napped. It was that extra bit of time every day to read emails, visit blogs and write. And now that's gone, so has my mojo.
And work-wise too I have found myself sitting in from of my screen every morning this week zoning out, not able to concentrate, flicking from one task to another, without completing anything. And then going to make toast.
Kerry told me she felt the same after her exhibition launched. You put all your energy into it, so much planning and 'some' anxiety ;-) so when it's launched you suddenly feel exhausted and a bit deflated. I think that's what's happened to me.

I have some good things coming up, I'm part of another pop-up exhibition launching soon, my trays are on their way to me, and my exhibition is going really well with lots of sales.
Just not feeling it right now.

I read this on the right day.

Wish me and my mojo back soon. And I hope you are all groovy. xxx

  1. I can imagine and relate to your feelings. Sometimes the Mojo is just lost and most of the time, lack of space is the problem. Hope you find it back soon, because blogging can be so much fun. :)

I am looking forward to seeing all the new things you are up to. Good luck! :)

  3. Losing that space in the day is HARD, I totally get it. But you'll find your stride again. Brilliant that the exhibition is going well though xxx

  4. Hi Fran. OMG, so much has been going on here! Just had a quick scroll through and you've been posting up a storm, girl ;) Wish I'd known about your exhibition when I was in London :( Anyway, it looks like you've been busy and I remember how much it changes the daily routines when the nap time period ends. I hope you're feeling better soon. I know how you're feeling - it's a funny old thing, isn't it? I'm in a bit of a pit at the moment, as I always am after returning from OS. Thankfully, it's raining here - that helps. Haha :) Loving that link to Check Yourself - have bookmarked it, thank you :) I'm also loving the sound of those trays. Take good care and have a good break. Kx

  5. That's great about the exhibitions! Mojo's need a break sometimes I think. So enjoy a little break. My little people aren't sleeping well so my mojo is well and truly knackered! Be back soon. xx

  6. Hi Fran, don't feel bad - losing naptime has thrown me completely, and now getting the puppy has tipped me over the edge! You've been really busy; your mojo will return in good time, and we'll be glad to have you back, but enjoy your break! Thanks for the link. xx

  7. ah, I hope you get it back soon! I reckon those trays will go down a storm :) I expect the mojo just needs a little rest, plus it's very hard to be motivated when it's so bloody cold! x

  8. Glad to hear your exhibition sales are going well! I've also lost my blogging mojo... I keep trying to get back into it but it's not happening. But it's still fun to read other blogs! Good luck with your upcoming projects!

  9. You probably need a rest and just think of the sales always good for motivation, I completely stopped my work when the kids were young, I attepmted freelance work for the first year and then just couldn't juggle the two, even now when they are 11 and 9 I still find it hard to fit everything in!!
Often look at other peoples blogs and wonder how do they manage it all.
I think this week has almost only been a week of choress, how depressing!!
Good luck and give yourselves a well deserved breather! x

  10. I know just how you feel, jobs half done, head too full of unfocused ideas, husband being totally grumpy, other peoples lives/blogs seeming a lot more exiting and together, their houses cleaner, shinier (not true most of them I think!), and although my kids are older they still need a lot of my time (empty nest - you must be joking!) But they can all fend for themselves, so my solution to current malaise is to leave them and take myself off to Spain for a week, hope to come back feeling a bit more energised and less taken for granted! I know I am very lucky to be able to do this. Good the get that off my chest! I hope you feel full of beans soon. v x

  11. The energy and organisational skills you need to prepare for an exhibition are very different to the energy and organisational skills you need to 'do work'. Sounds to me like you need to de-focus in order to re-focus IYKWIM. I know, easier said than done when you work from home, but maybe a planned week of free time and treats would help you make that transition....or maybe you'll be so fed up by the end of the week you'll be bursting with ideas that you can't wait to get done :D

P.S. did you see your iPhone cover featured on Design Milk last month

  13. Mojos come and go, I am sure you will get yours back soon and we will still be here to share your news, because lets face it it all sounds very exciting (even though you are not so mojo-ed right now)! So give yourself a break, relax and reboot, have chocolate, keep your feet warm, spray your favourite perfume on, take a deep breath and remember it is autumn (autumn is always the best season for new starts, right?)! Good luck with your exhibition and have a lovely week, and if it is any help I am expecting my lost mojo back any day now, it went missing too!
    :-( :-)
